There are many things to consider when you decide to sell your home. - The best thing your Realtor can do to sell your home is to let as many people know it is for sale as possible, as soon as it is listed. In addition to traditional marketing techniques like the MLS database, brochures and signs, your Realtor should know how homebuyers are finding homes to purchase, and be there to greet them. In today's market, this means an extensive, attractive internet presence showing your home in its best light. The buyer for your home may come from across town or across the country and over 90% of the time they use the internet to search for their new home. Condition - While your home is for sale, consider that we live in our homes in one way but we market them in another. While your home is for sale, your Realtor should be honest with you about how the location of your home compares to others on the market. After listing, your Realtor should provide you with showing feedback if concerns about location are expressed by homebuyers or other Realtors.

Price - Price is what you pay. Value is what you get. Setting a price on your property is challenging in San Francisco where no two homes are the same. There is risk in setting the price of your home for sale too high, relative to the competition and the current economic climate, because it may remain on the market far longer than necessary. Pricing your home too low is unfair to you. Your Realtor should be able to present you with a value range for your home and provide you with market statistics to support that price range. From there you should rely on accurate and timely feedback from the market and adjust your price accordingly so that you remain in tune with the market during your listing.
